Please pardon my rambling on, I have difficulty unscrewing a light bulb. As part of the restoration process I had Vintage Air installed in my non-air '68. Apparently, all of the parts didn't come back with the car when I switched restorers, and for reasons I won't get into, I won't go back to the original restorer for those parts.

Now as the restoration nears completion, my mechanic tells me that I need duct hose and a duct for the center vent (I already have the vent bezel). He said that the duct goes behind the bezel and allows the hose to be hooked up to the vent. I thought they would have come with the Vintage Air kit.

After looking through Rick's catalog, I found a Camaro Air Conditioning Under Dash Duct, Outlet Assambly, Upper, 1967-1968 (item AC-74), and Camaro Air Conditioning Under Dash Flexible Duct, 1967-1968 (item AC-73) and Classic Industries has a 67-68 CAMARO, 67-69 FIREBIRD AIR CONDITIONING CENTER VENT DASH DUCT (C290631).

As far as the hose, Rick's has hose and it's description says that it is "Hose Is Slightly Larger Than Original Diameter ". Classic Industries has hose, and it's description says, "We have numerous sizes available to fit most GM truck applications".

My questions are:
1) What size hose do I need?
2) What duct do I need?

Again, sorry for the rambling, and any help is appreciated.

I would say contact VA and tell them what you need. They are very helpful. They will get you the correct diameter hose you need.

Vintage Air has a vent adapter for the factory style A/C vents and their hose slips right over it. You do not need or want the factory reproduction stuff at all.

Call Vintage Air, they can set you up with everything you need.

I didn't even think to do that. :clonk:

I called Vintage Air...they hooked me right up. Thanks for the help.
