Hi,
The threads in my headrests that are used to fix the seat belt guides to the seat have stripped out.

Has anyone here found a sensible way of fixing this?

im not sure if this will work, but it depends on how bad it is stripped out, but try getting a few tooth picks and stick them in the stripped hole, and break them off inside, and keep doing it until it is about 1/2 full (it will usually take 1-2 depending on how big it is)

then just try to screw it back in

i have done that with so many things, and it seems to work very well, it might be worth a try

Newer verison use pieces of rire ties, the plastic works better with metal, toothpicks/match sticks work great in wood, you can also jam a plastic thread insert into the hole to take up the slack.
