Whose got the best deal on a set of small block Chevy heads? I’ve got a 68 Camaro with stock 300hp 350, 10.25 to 1 flat top pistons, 4 speed, 3.07 gears, that will be a daily driver. The stock heads are 64 cc chamber heads so I’ll need to go with 76 cc heads to run on pump gas. I was thinking of going with a longer duration cam to bleed of some of the compression but here in Phoenix I have to pass emissions, “CO at idle=5%, 3.5% at cruise”, and, “HC at idle and cruise=450ppm”, NOx is not checked for this year of vehicle.
So who’s got the best deal on preferably 2.02 intake, 1.60 exhaust valve 76cc heads, magnaflux, 3 angle valve job and mild porting? I’ve seen some mail order ads in magazines that looked good, any recommendations?
