Hey,
I didnt get an answer at the research group, so I'll try again...

My Powerglide has a date of T7A13N.
My car is an 04D.
Safe to say its original to the car? Seems a little early.
Whats acceptable?
Thanks. :)

Seems 'early' - specially with a high-volume article like PowerGlides ...
But, I've seen a few weird date gaps in the past with parts that sure looked original and a few were further out than that.
Not the Norm, by any means, but not out of the realm of possibilites either.
The supply systems at GM were FIFO long before that vehicle was made, but parts were delayed at the shipper at times (very rare) and did arrive later than originally scheduled.
A whole rack of parts didn't get 'mis-placed' at any time - if a unit was held it was due to a part issue or rework requirement.

Unless you have access to the original POP I doubt it would be possible to confirm it as original.

If - I was restoring a vehicle I would certainly look for a closer 2~3 week interval to be more believable.
But, if it's what you believe to be the original then I would leave it alone.

Thanks!!!
After poking around all over my car, I believe its original.
Yeah, I thought it was a little early too, but since its "possible", I really do think it is now. POP and whatever related paperwork is long gone, so cant go that way. Oh well....
Thanks again!!
