works great on forced induction, used it on several cars. Never used in a naturally aspirated application though...............

I use it with boost. If you are thinking about it please call Rodney at Alcohol Injection Systems (AIS). His stuff is cheaper and his support and knowledge is second to none.

He has several nice articles on his web site www.alcoholinjectionsystems.com

Jody...Do you think I should go meth or intercool?

I was thinking it would help by increasing the fuel octane as it's hard to find good gas where I live;91 is the best we get out here in the country sides of Ab

I actually had both on the Chevelle, but used just water injection on the Procharged big block in the 69 Camaro. With turbos it's always nice to have intercooling, but it will work with water/alky alone.

mnm, The meth is sooo much easier to install on a firts gen. Mounting an intercooler in front of the radiator is a problem due to the hood latch suppot. Ducting from the engine side to the front is tough as well. It can certainly be done but you are talking serious fabrication work vs. bolt on. JMHO.

I agree. Not to mention The AIS system can be mounted in the trunk.

I was thinking about it. The only thing that worries me is it's one more mechanical thing to break. If it didn't work when I needed it what would happen? I'm only looking at 6psi of boost right now also. The progressive controller would be nice also.
As for the intercoolers. I hear ya! I'm looking at 2 small intercoolers instead of 1 big one. This one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110458638633&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT .

What psi would the meth come on anyway? I'll do some reading...Thanks

Rodney advises you turn on the meth at 60% of total boost.

You are correct about potential failure. It is much less of an issue if you are fuel injection because you can adjust the EFI enrichment based on whether or not the meth is on. A little trickier with carbs and that is why they recommned no more than 50% meth with a carb. That way if the meth fails to activate it will only lean out about .5 on the wideband.
