Check out how this rear axle assembly is installed on this car. Whew! Unprofessional and dangerous! :confused: I guess it being sold as a project car he cobbled it together so that it will roll.

At least he's honest:
"The rear axle housing has had several brackets welded to it and is of unknown quality"

Looks like it was a former drag car he bought and then said "What the hell was I thinking????"

it is a mount for coil over shocks to the rear of the car and ladder bar mounts to the front. The most unusual thing is that the rear end wasn't narrowed when all the mounts were added to the axle tube. It will need a lot of work to make it a workable and presentable street car 12 bolt though.

looks like he didnt have all the parts for the FLOATER so he just put bolts in there , those leaf springs are barely clamped in .. and its supposed to be a "FLOATER".. shouldnt be bolts there ... I bet he bought the car in PIECES

So a floater does not bolt directly to the leaf springs and is oriented in the rear by ladder bars or some other method? It just "floats" on the springs?
