I'm trying to determine the capabilities of my old Rochester Q-Jet.
It's currently installed on a 383 stroker with out-of-the-box Edelbrock Performer RPM heads and intake. Cam is a Comp Cams unit with specs comparable to the Edelbrock Performer RPM.
In the future, unsure how far out, is a new carb. but for the time being, I'm trying to get all I can from the Q-Jet. Is this idea completely stupid?
I've heard that there are many different models of Q-Jet carbs. I'm looking for a source that shows how to determine model/serial #, and thus the CFM and/or other capabilities of the carb.
Any ideas?
