Has anyone here attempted this transplant yet? I am curretly putting all new sheet metal on the car and have found a supplier for the LS1 motor mounts and tranny crossmember, are there any other snags I need to be lookig for? The motor is out of a 2002 Camaro SS and is complete, the tranny is the T56. ANY help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

i think that a Camaro oil pan will hit the crossmember or steering linkage or something. seem to remember reading somewhere that a truck oil pan makes life easier. not 100% on any of this, tho. someone makes headers for that swap, but be prepared to cash in the 401k and mortgage the house to pay for them. wonder if stock manifolds would work?
do a search, and welcome to team Camaro (from the guy with the Nova!).

I just finished the swap about a month ago. You need to get the oil pan notched to clear the suspenion unless you are running a rack and pinion system. You also need to run a fuel rail off a 97 vette (has a return line). You need a fuel pump that can deep a constant 60 psi. You can get all the parts you need from Street and Performance (www.hotrodlane.cc). If you have any other question feel free to email me at coolcarone@aol.com
