I went to install the stainless gutter chrome to find it didn't fit worth a #%@* on my 69. It does not follow the shape of the gutter and if I try to bend it I am sure it will kink when I do the driver side. Any of you guys have an issue with this? Am I missing something? I have done it several times but had NOS stuff. I got the stuff form Rick's about 2 years ago.
Thanks guys

i tried a older set on my 67 & it bent .i bought a newer set off of e-bay that they said was done with new tooling . it fit ok but was a bear to put on i started at rear of car & worked my way toward front of car.using the heal of my hand smacking downward on trim.i also used a thick welding glove on my hands as not to mess my hand up.had a friend guide it on rails as i beat it downward over the gutter rail.this is hard stuff to put on but the newer retooled trim is thicker than the older repos.,also mine would not go on with the clear i sanded the clear down with 1000 sandpaper or I'm sure it would not went on with all the paint build up.hope this helps you.the trim is expensive at 129.00 a pop only to mess it up.believe me the extra set of hands are the key to getting it on without bending it up.

Thanks for the advice. I ordered a new set today. The ones I have are "convex" brand I think and are of poor quality. The ones I ordered today are new tooling and a different company. You would think if you go to all the expense to produce a re po product, it would be correct, no just close.

i agree.the new tooling ones i bought are lots better than convex, but are still a bear to put on.i had problems with the first set not staying clamped & kinking.the new ones stay in place.even the newer ones look like they are to long but they will fit, just get help & start at back so you can get them hooked at the rear of drip rails.
