Hi all, can anyone confirm for me what the colour is suppose to be on the under side of the hood and boot lid of my 67 RS Camaro. The exterior of the car is originally Madiera Maroon so is this the colour that these areas should be or are they painted out black from the factory.

Hood, or bonnet if you prefer, is black underneath. Occasionally factory body overspray is seen on the sides. Depends on your preference and level of restoration. Boot lid is body color underneath and was painted at the factory while installed on the car. Procedures vary with painters.

Thanks Scott, your input is very helpful. My car should be all in primer and high fill by the end of next week and just sitting waiting for colour and my painter asked me these questions this morning but I couldn't answer them. Now with your help I can.
