Hello all, I have what i believe to be coolant pooling up in one spot on my intake manifold when I drive my Camaro hard. I believe its probably from bad hosing (which I know need to be changed even if this isn't the cause) Would there be any other reason for this that I should look into?

When the engine heats up it the pats heat and expand at different speeds any weak spot in cooling conections will show up. It could come from hoses, thermostate housing, around intake manifold bolts. You need to be a diligent detective. Before you leave dry everything and spot check along the way untill you see the origination spot. It may take several trys.

Thanks for the quick reply! In regards to that I think I will change the hoses and see if that fixes it, a few are showing signs of major wear. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't be an unrelated major problem. Now I just need to figure out where to get all the different tubes.

Mine did this too. It was the water neck. I've tried a new water neck and eventually it leaked too. Perhaps the opening in my manifold isn't perfectly leveled/square. Some silicone did the trick.

The water neck is my second suspicion of where it could have came from. I think the three places I am most worried about are the water neck and that hose, the two hoses that go into the manifold to the left of that and their connections. Thanks for the silicone idea, i should probably start with a new gasket if the hoses don't fix it.

You need to tighten all of the intake bolts after a few heat cycles.
Btw, if you have one of those auto zone special water necks connecting to the radiator hose, don't tighten the bolts too hard or it will crack.
tighten all hose clamps after a few runs.

Aftermarket chrome water necks (t-stat housing) are notorious for leaks.
