Need help with a question on bearings (rod). I have what appears to be a 69 327 lg crank motor... The rod bearings in it are marked BGM AT20 2 69. Is there a way to read these bearings. I checked the rod journal with a caliper and it comes out to 2100.. Will be rebuilding it soon and just was inquisative about the markings Thanks:hurray:

Those markings indicate the material and the manufacturing date. The only time GM put sizes on thier bearings was occasionally when they were a "select fit" bearing, like .001" etc If the rod journal is 2.100 that is standard but .... you really need to have it measured with a micrometer, not a caliper.
