im putting a 10 point chromoly chage in my 67 bird. i have the cage, it is not coated or painted with anything and its also not togather. im not assembling the cage myself, so what im wondering is if i paint or powdercoat it when its already in or what?

If it needs welding you have to wait till its in....

It's not that tough if the rest the car is still unfinished. I painted mine in place by just using a good wide tip on the spray gun and letting it work around the tight places. Once it was painted I let it dry for several days, then I wrapped it all in butcher paper and taped it in place to protect it from scratches until the rest the car was done. Assembled the interior and finally pulled the paper off when complete.

Does it have a head liner yet...
