Hello folks! I'm Jason from Brandon, MS and Its nice to join ya'll. I'll try to be short, but ya know how it goes. Always wanting a 69 Camaro, I finally got myself one in 01. A blue X44 rust bucket. So I did what any youngster would do, put a 412ci and a 200 shot and went racing! I got my 10's out of it and was happy but I wanted something nicer. Sold it and bought and restored a 87 Buick Turbo T Regal. I still have it and wow is all I can say. Low 11 slips, quiet exhaust, a/c, cruise, and comfy too! But everytime I go to a car show in it, I always walk over to the 1st Gen Camaros and start dreaming again. Well I did the unthinkable... no I didnt sell the Buick, I bought a 69 Camaro sight unseen on Craigslist. Let me tell you this car was 100% misrepresented in every way. It was a 1969 Bondo Rust edition with a Camaro emblem on it. Thankfully I flipped it and got my money back and 2 weeks later my uncle calls and asks if I want his 67 Camaro. I said I never knew you had one?! Its been in the family since 78' so I told him sure! It was purchased cheap and is stripped and being soda blasted as I type this. The cowl shows the car was a 6 cyl, 3 spd, Butternut Yellow with black custom deluxe, options were a center console and quarter panel mount antenna. It will need floors, quarters, and a trunk pan, but thats about it (I'm sure its not). I read alot of stuff online, talked with folks about thier cars and such, and then came across Bill's Red 67 Yenko. WOW! So my car will be a 67 Yenko 427 Tribute in Tahoe Turquoise with black custom deluxe interior. I am not worried about correct dated parts, I know some of you will frown, but hey, thats how it goes sometimes. Anyway I hope to get to know lots of you and cant wait to get underway with my project.
