removed my fuel tank today and the sending unit. Is the fuel line coming out of the sending unit suppose to have a little play in it. Mine will move back and forth a little when you wiggle it. It seems like if the tank was full to the top that it would leak. thanx. wnk.

No, it's not supposed to be loose.
Depending on it's age, you MAY be able to tighten it back up if you can see how it's attached. But getting a good seal will be tough.
$50 for a new reproduction sending unit.
