I have a 92 camaro, and i am tring to see if 1 3/4 standard length headers will fit. I know shorties will, but i only found 1 5/8. I am working on a 383 sbc. thanks

I have a first gen so I can't address your question diractly. I will say though, that 1 5/8" headers should be fine. I run a 406 and was in the 475 HP (flywheel) range and switched from 1 5/8" to 1 3/4" with NO change in performance. A 383 with up to 500 HP should be just fine with 1 5/8" if that is all you can find.

Typically you want to error on the smaller side for a street car anyway.
