Took car to the track ran 13.0 12.97 12.96 and best12.92 @106 with a 60ft@1.74 Aim running D.O.T. 265 60 15 with 15 pounds with a good burn out and still spinning about 10 to 15 ft at the start I have traction bars and sub-frames and a 3.73 posi. 700r The car seemed to get out of the hole good but run out of power in the upper RPMs (5500 to 6000) Aim considering changing my rear to a 342 and also my cam (282s comp) any suggestions will be considered

Try posting your full slip, shift points, and rpm at finish line for better help. A cheaper fix might be a taller tire, might hurt your 60' some , but better top end. 1.74 60' should be better 1/4 times, but as you stated "wheel spin"...must be after the starting line ?

Just curious why you think your cam is limiting your RPMs. The 282s pulled to 6600 on the chassis dyno in my 383 --- I would expect shift points of about 6000 in a 406 and power to 6400. Would hate to see you swap out a cam and find out it was something else.
BTW 106 MPH is enough for a mid 12 second run. I'd fix the traction problem before doing anything else.
Just my opinion.
PS. Just noticed you are running the RPM Air Gap, my dyno info is using the Vic Jr. Not trying to start anything, but that might make a pretty big difference.
40 Coupe's shift points went from about 6500 to 5900 when he switch from Vic Jr to RPM Air Gap. He runs a bigger cam than the 282s too.

I'm kinda with Eric here b/c I think you have more in your motor but that you need to address traction and hookup and then tweak your motor some!!

PS., And I think the 282S is a good one for you..

Thanks guys did alot of research before building this motor and I thought the 282s was one of my best choice I took some advice from another forum and installed a fuel gage on my hood and seen under WOT my 8.5 psi drooped to around 3.5 psi and I know thats not good so my holley 110gph pump might have a prob.

My combo and yours sounds very similar. I talked to comp cams today and they recomended the comp extreme 284 for my combo. It specs out at 284/296 with 507/510 lift. At .050 its 240/246. My combo is as follows:
406
10 to 1
AFR 195's
1.52 comp rollers
RPM air gap
750 DP
1 3/4 headers
3.73 gears
700r4
3000 stall
3400 lbs
