I have a choice of heads to use on my 69 350 engine rebuild.

Which pair would be the best?

1) 3932441 350, 76cc, 161-165cc intake port
2) 3917291 302, 327, 350, camel hump, 161/65cc ports (no accessory holes)
3) 3747041 302, 350, 64cc
Thanks!!
Mike

76cc is normally too large of a chamber. So no to the 441's.
041's are 68cc or 75cc which do you have ?
291's No accessory holes can be a pain.

Stock heads don't flow very well. If you go with old school heads, use an old school cam.

RHS or Dart would be a better choice.

Thanks for the quick response, I don't know if the 041's are 68cc or 75's. Is there a way to tell?

1968-1970 - 68cc
1971-1979 - 75cc

What are your date codes ? see http://www.chevytech.com/3c10o2.html

The 041's are L 13 8, so I think they are Dec 13, 1968..

Use lower cc heads for performance, camel humps were the performance heads of the day, if you don't need to use the accessory holes, use them, and maybe rebuild the with 2.02" valves.
Use a cam that has higher exhaust lift and duration, newer heads benefit more with single pattern cams, so if you use the older heads, choose a dual pattern cam.
