so i just got the msd 6al programmable ignition and its got a launch rev limit and a burnout rev limit.

my car is an automatic with a 2004r and a manual style "stage right" transbrake. Once I shift the transmission into low gear the transbrake is engaged and the trans is locked. I have a column shift so I would bring my revs up and when i'm ready to launch I'd slam the column shifter up and away from me, and I modded the shifter so it ends at "D" instead of "N" and off I go.

now i'm curious what the best way to setup my car is to get the best launch? I've never used a burnout or launch rev limit and wondering whats the best setup for making everything work together?

Install a 2 step and run your trans brake to it.

Install a 2 step and run your trans brake to it.

His programable 6 has a built in 3 step, its just a matter of fitting a switch that activates the launch rev limiter when the transbrake is engaged, or use the transbrake switch itself to activate your msd unit.
