planning on booring my 350 over .60. should i go with .60 over pistons and .60 over rings. or standard pistons and .60 over rings? Thanks for your help.

You need to do some reading on engine building. If you bore the block .060, you HAVE to use .060 Pistons and Rings.

Luther,

Another thought. You should bore the engine only as much as is necessary to get the boresin good shape again. Sometimes as little as .020 will do this, although going .030 initially is more common. Sixty over is usually the limit, so going straight to 60 over means only one rebuild. Although with the crate engine deals available now it makes me wonder how much longer guys will continue to bother with rebuilding at all.

See the problem is that the block is allready bored .30 over. it was sitting in for about a year the guy oiled it but there is some rust in the cylinders. Not bad but enough. Thanks for your help.

Check with an engine shop to see if it will go .040 over. They make pistons and rings for this size.
