Which manifold would you suggest for this combo..

383Ci
AFR 195
comp cams xe282r roller cam
10.5-1
750 holley 3310-2

This car is a weekend cruiser and I make a trip to the tr4ack about once a month. I know that single planes give up alot on the bottom end but I figured with all the low end torque that a 383 makes it would be worth the extra 40 hp on top. The goal is the 11 sec barrier on motor.

With a 2500 stall converter and 3.55 gears, I'd go with the dual plane. At 110 mph you'll barely be over 5000 rpm.

With the combination that you're running I'd split the difference with the two choices and go with the Victor Jr. intake. I like open plenum's myself and I feel that the Jr. intake would suit your needs for both street / strip. Just my .02.

I'd go with the Performer RPM or the RPM Air Gap. Try a 1" tall open spacer on it. Power band on that cam is up to 5800 RPM --- you'd be giving up too much low end with a single plane (super Victor or Vic Jr) and not reving it high enough to make up for it.

Just my opinion.

I say go for the super victor, I have one and it drives fine. Ive never used a dual plane with this 383, so I cant give a comparison but I have plenty of low end. Also, with a roller cam you will be better off then me.

I believe the Super Victor and the Victor JR. to be a bit big for your cams power range, stall speed, and gear.

I agree with the others that the RPM Air Gap is the correct choice.

If you must have a single plane try a Victor JR. #2900 + 1 or 1.5inch Wilson Taperd 4 hole spacer.

that's all you need to know to make your decision.....absolutely no benefit to be gained from the single plane......get an RPM air gap
