Hello All.

I am rebuilding my Hurst Comp + shifter out of my 69Z. I have the shifter all apart and soaking at present time.

I have downloaded various step by step pictorials on rebuilding shifter as well as my own notes and pics.

My interest is locating an official Exploded View Diagram of the shifter body. I have go to think a good exploded view diagram is available somewhere. I would like to learn the names for the various sub-components of the shifter.

THANKS MUCH

Try this link....His name is Pete and he works on any shifter with a "Hurst" on it. Check with him, he might have something he can send you.

Even better, click on this link from Hurst then click on the Instructions icon in the top/middle of the page, have Adobe Reader installed first.

Thanks for the information. I will check out Hurst. I did visit the site initially while researching the rebuild process, but only found diagrams showing the installation of shifter.

I will look again.

Thanks

Thanks again Mark. I am having fun with this shifter rehab project. I feel the spring body is OK and cleaning/Lube only.
The actual Piston or Cylinder, not sure of the proper term for this part, has wear on it where it contacts the reverse detent key. I plan to remove the drift pins and rotating this Piston / Pin 180 degrees.
My wish for an exploded internal view of the shifter components and listing of names of component parts was so I could accurately explain what I was doing to myself and son. HA !!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS
