Could someone please run the 383 combo above on a desk top dyno and give me the figures. The car is a '69 Camaro. If more info is needed please let me know.
Thanks,
Guy

I'm on my way out the door, but if nobody runs the DD2k for you by this afternoon, I'll run it.

You can trust DD "less" then a good guesstimation.
Whats really important is what you want the car to run. You should be able to run around low 12s at 110+mph with 400+hp. Is that fast enough for you?

I agree the program isn't perfect. Here are the numbers for what they're worth...

It says peak horsepower should be around 390 @ 5500rpm and 440 ft lbs. torque at 3750rpm.

From some of the builds they've done in the magazines with similar parts (also skeptical of some of those though), the numbers would be a little higher than these.

Good luck! graemlins/hurray.gif

Thanks guys,
I was hoping for somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 hp and about as much torque, so I should be OK.
Thanks again,
Guy

I agree you should make ATLEAST 400HP with that combo. I'd say you definately need more gear but nonetheless you should have no problem going 12.50's or faster.

Chris88Z,
I LIKE that "AT LEAST 400HP" part.
The Richmond has its first four gears down low, it's like having a close ratio Muncie with 4.56 gears, with the 5th gear being 1 to 1. It should pull pretty stong off the line. Haven't had a chance to drive it yet, got to get the car put back together and painted.
Thanks,
Guy
