Hi everyone, I've got 7 SBC pistons and rods,and I would like to buy a matching piston.The numbers on the pistons are L2252A .030 Anybody know who makes this piston? Or does anyone know of a site were I could look this number up? Thanks for any help on this. 62 Rodent

That piston is a TRW / Federal Mogul / Sealed Power forged piston. Your machine shop should be able to get one for you. The problem you might run into though is if yours is an older piston, Federal Mogul has significantly changed the design on thier pistons in the last year or so when they took over the manufacturing from TRW. The new pistons are significantly lighter in most cases that I have seen. you may have a problem with balancing the engine. See if your machine shop purchases thier parts from an Engine Pro Group member warehouse www.enginepro.com (http://www.enginepro.com) If so, they have a "locator" service and might be able to find you an old one to match yours.
