I will be installing a 5pt harness soon and am looking for advice and experience on which one to buy, etc.
I will be attaching the shoulder belts to a roll bar and am using the stock 69 seat. Should I go with a "Y" style belt? What type of latch is best/easiest to use? Any other suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!

I have stock 68 "standard" seats and I'm using the RCI 5 point "Y style" belts that are designed to attach to the roll bar.
I like these belts because the shoulder harness is bolted straight to the roll bar instead of to the floor like some other setups. I just drilled and tapped the roll bar for a 7/16 bolt then welded on a grade 8 nut to give it some more beef. Probably overkill, but it looks good and would be really tough.
My lap belt goes to the stock mounts on the floor. The 5th "antisubmarine" belt goes between the seat back and seat bottom, then bolts through through my floor with a reinforcement plate underneath. It's not exactly comfortable though and I don;t plan to use the 5th belt unless I'm at the track.
I would have liked to use the fancier cam lock belts, but since they get replaced every two years anyway I just could see spending an extra $100 or more.

Bill Simpson's new Safety business offers a two-year recertified harness, with his name on it, in exchange of your old one, regardless of brand, for $50 USD.

I have the Deist 4 pt currently with the shoulder harness of the wrap-around type ( wraps around the rollbar cross brace). Lap belts bolt to the stock locations. I have the 'twist cam' buckle with the provision to add the 5th belt when the car is track ready.
