Guys,
Im ready to purchase a starter motor for my BB project. Can anyone tell me if I might be running into problems setting up a tilton standard duty starter in a lakewood scattershield with the blocksaver. Im definetly looking for something small to clear tubes. Any suggestions or issues please let me know. Thanks Rich

I had to get a mini starter to fit with my lakewood scattershield, glad I got one anyway.

I recently put a CVR starter I got from Jeg's into my friend's 69 Chevelle SS396 with a Lakewood bell and plate. Works great.

I agree the CVR starter works great, and is adjustable 6 ways for header or oil pan clearance.

It has a 4:1 gear reduction, it's much lighter than stock, and uses less amps.

Thanks guys.
The block saver was my major concern hopefully when I assemble this thing, it will be pain free. Thanks again for your suggestions! I'll check out cvr.
