Installing 450 horse 406 comp282s 700r with a 3.73 rear I have a 3800 pound car My ? is will I need that much of a stall over the 2500.

My 2 cts., I'd leave it. You have the stroke, the tx gear for the weight involved.

What are your performance goals? Have you talked to a few converter manufacturers? Lockup or non-lockup?

the car will be a weekend car,local cruise and a trip down the stripe in evadale The car has a 350 horse 350 with the 700r behind it with a 2500 hughes stall my shift point should be around 6200 to 6800 thanks

I'd say run what you have. The 700R4 has a VERY low first gear to get you going. With that much cubes, and that low of gear, and that small of a cam, I'd say you're combo would run excellent just like you have it. graemlins/thumbsup.gif That is IMO. graemlins/beers.gif
