on my 355, i have installed a set of 1.5 aluminium roller rockers, but i just found out i didnt use the self-aligning rockers, and neither did i use those alignment plates.

when i have some cash ill install a set of 1.6 self aligning rockers, but is it disasterous if i drive for a while with these non self-aligning rockers?

i drove the engine for about 120 miles, and i didnt notice any wear on the rods (the metal pipes between the rockers and lifters, rods right?)

The early heads use the slot that the pushrods go through in the head to line up the rockers.If the slot is not worn you should mot have a problem.

Aren't self aligning rockers for later heads-vortecs etc. I don't think you would want those. Someone correct if I am wrong. Are you running 461 or 462's with pressed studs? SS

461's dont know what pressed studs are...
