If you send me the numbers I might have a book to help. It is a resto book with all the info I believe. It helped me track all the numbers on my 67.

Dave.....I answered your post under Tag Team....Also, I have added this car to the Registry I am working on (for LA cars).

However.....NOW I must get on my soapbox!

All in all...I have seen SEVEN posts from you on this issue (and all from today)! Geesh!

Please show a little patience.....we will help you if we can...but you must understand that none of us are on this board 24/7 (although sometimes it seems close http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif ). You'll have to wait a bit sometimes until we get on the board....

Ah.... I hope the info is useful.

I didn't mean for it to come across as a lecture. http://www.camaros.net/forum/wink.gif

Hey steve, thanks for the email, you've helped me a lot! I was able to locate the vinyl top codes you were talking about also. Any rule on stripe combo's?

Also, I'm not saying this to flame or anything but on the chevelle sight posts seem to come pretty quick; maybe it's just my imagination. In any case I'm new here so I apologize if it seems as though I was being 'pushy'. Thanks everyone for the information you've armed me with lots of great knowledge!
Regards,
Dave

70dave....as far as stripe colors...I would say there are guidelines...but not "rules".

With a LeMans blue car the default color is black stripes. This is true for a black vinyl top or without a vinyl top.

With the parchement...the stripes should be white...as a guideline. http://www.camaros.net/forum/wink.gif

Oh...and welcome to the board...

The chevelle site has appx 2000 more registered users and a paid club with membership around 1000 (the guys with flags, but you know that http://www.camaros.net/forum/wink.gif ) which facilitates more folks being around the forums.

70Dave & mccorry: I am not sure if I would say black stripes would be the default on LeMans blue. I had an original paint '69 RS-Z/28 LeMans with a black vinyl top and white stripes and have seen another w/same scheme. I believe the books say either black or white for LeMans. Mccorry I wish I still had the numbers around for your registry as it was a Van Nuys car (have owned 3 Van Nuys '69 Z's). I will look thru my papers just in case.
