went to bolt up the trans to the 454 and realized the bolt patern on the flywheel is larger then the converter I bought,B&M holeshot 2500+-. where can I get a flywheel with the small bolt patern that ext. balanced for the 454 ,will one for the s/b 400 work.

You sure it doesn't have two sets of bolt holes in the flexplate? Most do. If not I have an almost new SFI spec aftermarket unit for a 454 I'd sell; got it from Summit I believe. Most all the aftermarket ones have six holes; three for large bolt pattern and three for the small pattern.

no all these are the same,I compared it to a s/b 350 f/w which did have the duel pattern.
really need to know if a 400 is the same.

The 400 and 454 will physically swap for each other, but I believe the 454 uses a different amount of counterbalance weight than the 400. Not positive, but that's what I think.
