what would i have to do to the firewall to an 88 camaro so i can drop a 502 ci motor with a MSD pro billtet distributor

I would check into the legality of this proceedure first, both at the track and on the street. Chances are that a modified firewall would not comply with the safety regulations at the track, and worse yet, might nullify your insurance policy.

I believe Hooker make a swap-kit for the big block and 3rd gen Camaros. The only reason you might need to cut the firewall is to fit and HEI distributor. Good luck.
