Welcome Marshall,
I also enjoy them all and wish i had one of each... So i tried to do my 69 with a little mix. Nice paint and crispy BBC, but now i made up my mind to go with an auto/over drive with a 3500rpm stall.

Wheelstands first, drivers a very close second. No use for trailer queens unless the car has history or is a very low mile example of a first gen.

If the car is being trailed for any other reason than racing, then the owner is a tool imho.
I like show quality cars, and drivers who go to shows on occasion, but other than that, car shows are a waste of time.

Skip,

Say it isn't so! You are gonna take the stick out of your car?

And about my cars.....I am really looking forward to getting the superstocker built so I can go take some flight lessons :)

Man, you are going to neuter The Orange Crush??

Just kiddin' with ya man. Is your left leg a lot bigger than your right one from a 100,000 pound pressure plate? lol.

Yeah my goal was to run street/strip but, still haven't been to the strip and I know the car will not pass inspection. NO ROLL BAR and not gonna put one in, just want to do a few passes every now and then. Always love the track cars and especially the ones that look like they should be show cars. Thats Why i need one of each of these cars, maybe some day when i hit lotto.

My leg is fine, its just this cam wants a 3500rpm stall and my clutch is a pain in the but. You gotta bring it about 1500rpm and just release the clutch. If you need to feather the clutch thats when it kills my clutch, great DF 2 center force but it doesn't like to slip.

I always prefer stock or if the car is modified but it still looks original like mine. For some reason I've never had interest in the funny cars or the highly modified drag cars with wheelie bars and what not.

I agree with you.
To each his own, and what ever blows your skirt up is fine by me.
As long as you enjoy your hobby and your car...you should not have to answer to anyone but yourself.
