Anyone have a super secret - easy way - to install a harmonic balancer on a 350?

I've seen tool for making it easier on Eastwood's website - does it work - is it worth the money? ( http://www.eastwoodco.com/cgi-bin/sgin0101.exe?T1=46040&UID=2001030500454801&FNM=20 )

I'm open to suggestions.....

Get one, you won't be sorry.
One cracked damper from hammering it on will pay for a bunch of tools like this.
Don't loan it out or you'll never see it again.
I HATE loaning tools!

You can make shift a tool (or should I say bolt) to do it. What I did was get a bolt the same size as the one that is supposed to go into the crank(just a couple inches longer) and use the heavy duty washer that goes on the HB full time with the longer bolt. A little imagination and spacers/washers different size bolts and it's done.

That's how my limited budget does it at least. More time and work but less cash is usually the way it works.

Make sure you lube it up too, whether it's with assembly lube or oil. I oil the seal for good measure.

I have that tool! its kinda like a reverse puller, or more or less a pusher, it works great, However I probably will only use it every few years, but I have one.

Get the tool, mine's a Moroso, or perhaps rent it ftom autozone, I just rented a ball joint press, they carge for the tool and issue a full credit on return (a free rental is hard to beat) (pun intended)
