Sweeeeet. Hey, if you're still having air cleaner problems you might consider the shorter K&N on your drop base along with one of their Xtreme lids which adds an additional 500cfm flow capacity. I used to run one with a flat base since the drop base hit the HEI. Finally got the drop base and 3" filter to work with a small spacer.

Problem with the shorter filter is that the air cleaner base is already too close to the lid itself for my liking, any shorter of a filter will just bring the two even closer to each other. But so far, all is well and she runs INCREDIBLE!!!

Looking at my MPFI setup, I'm not sure sure that the large cap HEI would fit between the fuel rails. It may, but will be real close.

You will be very happy. My runs so good I dont know what to do with myself. I almost feel a little guilty, cause I havent had any issues at all. Set up in a minute, and was driving. And it drove WELL...no hiccups, burps, farts...just smooth power - and alot of it!

Just got mine in the mail today but I don't see a wire to connect the harness to the Distributor. Is it supposed to be the hei adapter wire? Do you have a pic of how yours connects to the Distributor? The large cap fits, but as you said it is close. Probably going to return it and go with a small cap MSD 8366 as the instructions recommend. Thanks.

This is what I have, cant remember if it came with my kit or if it was ordered separately. Keep in mind, this is for a small-cap HEI with the external coil...I dont think this will fit the large cap HEI's. My distrib/coil came from a salvage yard off of a mid 90's V8 GM truck. Nothing special, 50.00 for the distrib and coil to my home. Just spent an hour taking it apart and making sure it was clean inside and out. You can get a new one from Advance/Autozone, etc.
