Bought a road race 89 Camaro with a 350 crate engine (ZZ4 I think) with dual plane Chev aluminum manifold, Holley 4779 carb (750 cfm I think). Seller is not familiar with the mechanics of the car/engine. I broke an aluminum rocker that caused other rocker failures and gouged the cam lobes and destroyed a couple of roller lifters.

I pulled heads and cam. Not sure of the brand of cam but it has a pink stripe around the cam at the distributor end and has the following numbers on the rear end of the cam in no particular order 321 00R 071 FM35. No other identifying marks.

Block has aluminum heads and has the following number on the rear of the block 10243880. Can anyone identify the make of the cam and from the block number confirm that this is a ZZ4 350.

Forum members were very helpful on my last query.

Thanks guys. Lots of good info. I am looking elsewhere on the block because there is nothing stamped into the ID block. Cam appears to be a ZZ4 based on info above. Heads are for a ZZ4 also. :)
