I need a new black carpet for my 68. What brand is best?
Do new carpets have all the holes for console bolts, seat bolts, seat belts??

ACC or Trim parts make the best available. No holes are cut for those things. Measure twice, cut once.

I had a feeling that was the case.. sure would be nice if the holes were there!

Thanks. I just posted in the clasifieds to see if anyone may have a used one that wasnt up to snuff for their show car but likely fine for my heap! The one that came with my car, was all rolled up and when i unrolled it, i quickly realized it was a homemade one out of some indoor outdoor carpet.. real junky.

Jeff, you're in MA. You wouldn't happen to need a good working gas tank would you?

My gas tank (i think) is ok.. It has a sump welded in it but i dont mind that. Car is sort of a hotrod...

I need a dash ashtray/bracket, console lid/hinge/arm, carpet. I could use a new cowl grill panel. Other than that mostly small/misc things like Ebrake parts, dome light lens, other small things.

I have a good extra flat hood.

Dang, I can't give away a good gas tank.

What part of MA?

The holes are easy. Leave the bolts in when you lay the carpet down so you can feel for them, then mark them with a silver sharpie. Use a cheap soldering iron to burn the holes in the carpet.

I always find the bolt holes with an ice pick, then burn the holes in the carpet with 3/8 '',fuel line tube, heated of course.
