Wow..hope he makes it..says he's 19..if anyone can survive it its a kid. Many of us are living proof!

When we were just out of high school a friend drove his 3rd Gen off an overpass like the one above.
Just shook up not hurt..he still misses that car!

I saw that on the news here...from what they said, he was stopped 5 or 10 min earlier for speeding and alcohol by the state police but was let go!

I heard it from the news station, so it should be true...if so, those cops might be in a little trouble...

Watch the video again. It's not the guardrail that launches him, it's a culvert or dip in the median along the guardrail.

One of many possibilities is that he was just angry and speeding after being hassled by the cops. If he came upon some slow moving traffic (because that is what happens near a police cruiser) and tried to go around it on the median, that dip just took him out.

It's all speculation at this point, but i don't think he expected to hit the dip and crash. Remember how invincible you think you are at that age?

I really do think those things cause more harm than good. Sometimes nowhere to go, guess it's so people don't go into oncoming traffic, but that median is more than enough to NOT need a rail there, most likely there for the bridge.

He must have been ejected before impact.
He is just a kid, a not very smart one, but we all make mistakes. I do hope he makes it, critical condition is no joke, if it's brain damage; chances are good he won't pull through from what I have seen, but I do hope this is a case where he does.

looks like the rear bumper cover and tail lights are still usable.
