$60K for 100 cores or $600 each. Is that a deal? I doubt it.

If I had 60 grand laying around I don't know if I'd drop it on 100 Muncies.

They are cores. Means you would have to rebuild one to use it. Mr. Muncie, are you interested...

Lee (aka Mr. Muncie), I think you've been topped, bud! Time to go hit the swap meets to up your inventory. BTW, isn't this the same guy who was selling a bunch of blocks a while back? As said before, $30K would be closer to the going rate - you are supposed to get a discount for buying in bulk.

WTF????
This guy is nuts.
$600 for a rebuildable core?
I had to do the math a couple times to make sure I believed what I came out with and was happy to see it corroborated by Gary L

I just asked the seller to expound on the 600.00 each for cores. Be interesting to see his reply.
When I see stuff so obviously stupid or greedy it just makes me want to slap someone.

$600 each is not happening. If you have to put $400 into it, then you are at $1000, and thats all its worth, and you make 0 on labor. Simple economics.

Yep, the majority of them better be M22's or at least M21's, and even then there would not be enough demand to get your money back. A lot of folks are going with 5-speed and 6-speed trannies now instead of the stock stuff.

And Here is the reply verbatim.

No, we are sell a lot of transmissions including good ones and cores at a starting price of $399 each. If you are not interested in the lot, but are looking for a single transmission or a transmission part, please contact me at.... Deleted by Moonpie

There arent even 100 muncies there... 100 4 speeds with some being muncies and probably most borg warners... he said no M22s in the auction. He is crazy!

The scary thing, is these may have been the ones they didn't build because they had the most wrong with them!

Excatly was I was thinking. If you bought that you would be luck to have 25 muncies out off it all that you could piece together and function properly, but you may have 50 borg waners. lol
