I was forced to get the project car on the road last Friday for some interior work at the shop. After spending Thurday getting the car back together enough to take it for a ride. I took it for a ride!!! So far so good, nothing fell off graemlins/clonk.gif , nothing broke and the engine is vibration free. Only those that know my previous engine problems will appreciate that. I am going to be updating my site with the interior, engine, and final car pictures soon. Here is how she is looking...

Looks like you got it together JUST enough to take it for a ride. From your description, I was expecting a 5 gal. bucket for a seat, no windows, no hood, etc... :D

Umm, is that a Ford truck in the background  Glad to hear you straightened out your motor issues. Did you get any explanation/compensation from the Summerduck guys? I was considering them, but your story scared me into building my own. Done it before, just a bit too busy lately. By the way, cool color! How'd the body work turn out?
Any repro parts/ lessons learned you'd care to share?

I love the color as well. It is Hummer H2 Competition Yellow. I used PPG DCC 1 stage poly paint and then cleared it. The clear really made the paint special. I took the car out Saturday night and it drew a crowd in a matter of minutes. On the engine issue I am going to leave it alone. I think building your own engine is the way to go(or even having it built locally). If I have any advice that would be my strongest. I used all Goodmark sheetmetal (quarters, doors, trunk, wheel wells and fenders). The doors and fenders were perfect. The quarters needed a few swear words to get them on correctly. Actually quite a few. I am still a long way off before the car is completely done (if that ever happens).
Best,
