I'm looking for a nice front to back stainless exhaust system but many I find say they don't work for convertible models.

1. What is different underneath about a convertible?
2. Any sources for a good front to back exhaust system (stainless or not) that will fit my 69 convertible?

The exhaust will work but you will need a aftermarket crossbrace. Flowmaster seems to be the most common to use but there are plenty of other brands available. Most convertibles are missing the factory crossbrace because it was removed to put in a newer system.

You need to get a Hotchkis X-brace which will allow 3" pipes to clear. Also may need to have the pipes tweaked a bit where they come between the rear leafs and fender as that area seems to be tighter on convertibles.
