I have a 67 (standard) camaro that I am trying to restore myself.
My questions are.
1. When putting on the front bumper do you put the brackets on the car or bumper first?
2. I just put on a new radiator support panel, and now my drive side fender is jammed against the door, and every time I loosen the fender bolts and try to adjust the fender to where I can open the door I go to tighten the bolts back, and the fender goes back to the door. WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING WRONG??
Like I said I am new at this body stuff, so take it easy on me :)

Only two questions?? :)
1. Large brackets that bolt to the subframe go on first, then bolt bumper to them.
2. I would suspect you need to add shims to the fender/firewall bolt. There are 5 places you bolt and shim a fender: 1 firewall behind the hood hinge, 2. upper firewall bolt, 3. upper fender bolt (access when door is open), 4. lower fender bolts, 5. rad support.
# 1 is mainly used for fore/aft adjustments, #2 is used for up/down at the firewall, #3 is used for in/out top, #4 is used for in/out bottom as well as matching the curve of the door. #5 side to side is to create the square hole for the hood.

Kevin this is a 67. There is little or no adjustment in the fender brackets. Don't you think the fender brackets would be the first brackets to bolt the bumper to. After the bump is straight and level then the subframe brackets can be bolted up to it.

Roger, I made the assumuption the brackets he was asking about was the large subframe ones. Dont the smaller ones bolt to the fender first on 67s?

Thats what had me confused when you was saying to install the large mounts first. Yes the the outside brackets should be installed when the fenders, fender extensions and valance go together.
