Yes its mine. Its your basic 489 with Brodix RR oval heads. 10.2 SRP Pistons with good street manners. Forged Eagle crank and rods (overkill but room to grow). RPM air gap. TH400/Turbo action 3000 stall. 4.10 gears. 2" Hooker Headers. About 350 miles into the new build. Very happy with it so far. Lots of fun around town but definitely needs some drag radials.

I have no idea what kind of power I'm making. But its plenty for now.

Nice combo very close to mine on the motor. (489 + Brodix RR + SRP + RPM Air Gap + Hooker)

Hope mine sounds as good when it gets running.

That sure sounds awesome. It sounds like a bigger cam profile then you have.... Man it sounds better then my Comp Cam XR286R Solid Roller.

Yep great sound and an even better body and paint. Awesome!

Now back to the cam. YOU POSTED IN THE PERFORMANCE thread! You are in big trouble.:D I made that mistake too.

When you ditch the flat tappet cam for a roller you can use much more cam. Besides what you have now is pretty mild for 490 Cu In.

Now, exhaust noise. I didn't see the pipes exiting under the bumper. The car seems to have down turned pipes before the axle. If so, the mufflers aren't the problem. But what do I know? I took off my X piped 3" system for open headers. Great way to cruise the drive-in.
(kidding. Been drag racing.)

Next, the only other thing I would change is to dull that shine behind the rear tires with RUBBER.:beers:

Sounds great -- there's something about black -- I've often thought what mine would look like and seeing yours makes we want to change mine!!

Yeah I know what you mean about the cam. I'm happy with this cam but in a couple years I will go roller. I will have fun with this one til then. Traction will be the first issue to deal with.
The exhaust does have tail pipes and they are angled down just aft of the rear tires. But I dont have an X pipe either yet, so that may help the noise levels come down a bit too.

Thanks! I used to go to Speedworld occasionally as a spectator. I plan on going to "Night of Fire" coming in November to see some crazy stuff.

I miss out on most cruise ins since I work weekends, but I know Casselberry has something every Friday and then there is always Old Town on Saturdays.

My inlaws live in Merritt Island so I go there quite often. Might have to swing by Cocoa sometime.
