im considering buying a 72 nova with a 355, the owner says it ran an 8.4 in the 1/8th, anyone have a rough estimate what that would translate into in the 1/4?

When I bought my '69 Nova, the guy selling it said it ran 12's. I knew when I test drove it that it wasn't anywhere close to a 12 second car, but I didn't really care either - I just wanted the car. If the performance matters to you, have him show you a timeslip, or try to verify through some other means.
