i've been looking at the pro topline 200/50 cc heads for my 350 (.060 over).this looks to calculate to around 10.6/1 static c.r.
can anyone tell me the calculated dcr?i cant seem to find the full specs on my comp 274xe.
this is with .025 deck,4.1 head gasket@.040 thick, and smogger pistons at an estimated -13cc.
think it'll run on premium?
thanks, you guys are the leaders of the pack!

Go over to a post that has an answer from Pat kelley and use his sig. to get to his great "Dynamic Compression Ratio Caculator" site.
Read up on it a couple a times and have at it!!
Use the advertised duration numbers for the cam and 110/106 for the LCA/ICA stuff. Play around with your combination until you get about the compression ratio you think you will have.
Also use about .025" down in the hole for piston depth and the wanted headgasket thickness stuff for quench height b/c our motors are generaslly about that from the factory unless one has been decked by somebody.

I think you are pushing it even with aluminum heads. Iron heads - not likely to work. A cam with more like 280* advertised duration will be OK though IMO. DCR calculates out to 8.75:1 with the XE274.
Not saying it definately won't work on pump gas, but I sure ain't saying it definately WILL work either if you know what I mean ;)
