I have an '85 Z28. The rear left axle broke, and i'm in the process of replacing it. I can't get the Clip on the end of the axle pushed in far enough to get it out. I took the main Pin out of the cent, but their is still a block in the way. How do I get that out. I really would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks Cgibb60@aol.com

Sounds like you have the Governor Lock unit. Turn it around to the side opposite the governor and use a small magnet to pull the "C" clip out or turn it down so it will fall out. The block doesn't come out unless you have the special tool to disassymble the unit.
