Mr. Super Sport Nov 19th, 10, 03:31 PM Please read the ad before looking at the pictures. Sounds pretty good. Pictures look pretty good until you hit the engine compartment. Have never seen a brace installed like that before. Sorry just had to post.

That's because it's not installed in the pictures that you mention.......it's been removed most likely for access to the battery.

David hit the nail on the head, it's just loosened up and moved out of the way to get to the battery.
77thor Nov 19th, 10, 04:49 PM I can't tell if the window trim was painted or is 'flush mounted' glass.
But I like the look of it.

The glass trim has been removed from the front and rear glass, this is evident in the pictures.
I'm a little skeptical of the mileage considering the condition of the upper shock mounts as well as a few other items of note, 155,000 miles may be a more accurate assumption. I have an original documented mile southern car with 122,000 miles and the upper shock mounts are in better condition.

3forme Nov 19th, 10, 09:02 PM That car has been around the block more then once. I get so tired of the stories people spit out.
Eleanor's Nemesis Nov 20th, 10, 04:33 AM When someone makes a cheesey add like this I just get real skeptical for the duration.
Fred Mertz Nov 20th, 10, 10:42 AM I see multi-leaf springs with mono leaf lower shock mount plates. This car has a few issues.

I agree it has a few issues, like the pre '69 cylinder heads . . .
. . . still a nice car though.

Doug,
If there hadn't been another pic of that brace from a different angle/view I would have also said "something is not quite right about that brace".
