guys i need to know.what a 69 vert that's been beautifully restored.man has built car back to look like it looked when bought new all except the rs front end.it has original rally wheels with new tires.car has a 327 4-speed dont know if it has a muncie or a saginaw tranny .i don't know what tranny came in a 69 camaro.car has been on a rotisserie & has had floors trunk ,quarters & fenders & he put a rs light kit new in car.sheetmetal was all gm except floors & trunk car is a plain jane with the original 327 cars supposed to be a number matching car. has a gm cowl hood.car has a candy paint job that looks a foot deep in pics.has a new top & interior is new.car don't have gauges or tach.it will need a set of rs tail lights & reverse lights to get the rs look.i also will want to put gauges & tach in car.my ? is what would it be worth I'm trying to trade my 32 ford highboy to car.I'm asking 45000 for my car.every vert i look at is over 30000 & needs gone threw.this car needs about 2600 dollars to have it looking the way i want it.i have never seen car.he supposed to bring it down next weekend.all i have seen is pics but you can tell by the body lines he took some time getting gaps right.i was just looking for a ballpark figure.i just dont want to get my but sit on fire.i have no clue what his cars worth. im going to add pics if i can .i love his car.thanks

Looks very nice! I see some things that were skimped on, so you really need to go over it with a fine tooth comb. I feel the 32 might be a tougher sell then the Camaro. Matching 327 verts would be close to $30K. up or down would depend on the quality of the build and how correct the parts are that went into the build. If he is interested in a trade, it might be a good deal, but you would have to ask him to throw in some coin to get the issues corrected (like the steering wheel!) Luck!

Nice car, but with the Z/28 stripes, cowl hood, RS front-standard rear, it's more of a resto rod, than a restoration. If you're looking for restored original, this would take some real cash to fix. Personally, I would not give $30K. You could get a real b/b SS convt for a little more than that.

I hate it when stripes are painted onto convertibles. jmtcw:mad:

Regarless of the stripes, I'm going to say about 25-28K, options and correctness sell these cars, paint is very good start. If your car had Power disk brakes, power top, 12-bolt more value.

I have 1 with out, SS Hockey and Z28 stripes love them all.

i appreciate the replies.I'm really just in the mood for a convertible.i know if i wait till summer my 32 will bring between 38-42 thousand its a matter of the waiting game.i just hate to wait I'm very impatience.the car he has is really what i want & i know it will need some things, but don't they all.i asked him for the trim tag numbers but i never got them.he said he restored it 5 years ago,but only drove it 12-1500 miles since redone.i want a good nice convertible & i have had three offers 2 coupes & this convertible & the convertible is the best of the three.thanks again for the replies

I can understand the want for convertible. I have had convertibles for most of my life. Nothing like driving with the top down on a warm summer night with the music playing and going to get ice cream :D I miss it already! :(

i like my 32 because i can take top off & its a super driving car,but my minds always been on a 69 vert.my 32 is so hard to get in & out of I'm 6foot 3inch tall & its not user friendly.i have never had a vert in a camaro ,but have owned about 15-20 67-69 camaros.i hate to lose money ,but sometimes you have to lose a little to get what you want.i just don't want to lose a lot of money.if i traded him even up i figure i will lose 8-10 grand assuming his car would bring 32 thousand.hes wanting 38000 for his which i thought was 8-10 thousand off the mark.8-10 grand is a lot of money to lose in this economy.but like i have all ways heard its only worth what someones willing to pay.but i all ways say there's a hiney for every seat its just a matter of getting the right person.

X2! I had hardtops for years before the convertible's i bought and there is no comparison to driving with the top down on a nice day or night.

First off you can't beat a ragtop! It's those summer night drives with the wind and summer smells whipping around that keeps me motivated to get mine finished and back on the road! Looks like a nice car..but so did mine in pics before I began my resto. I would think that it's probably a nice driver and not one that would be worth getting back to original. I also think his pricing is a bit high being it's not an SS, RS or BB. More than likely it was a 327, 210hp 10bolt mono bowtie car that was built to the owners likes. I'd think anything over $30k for it would be a lot unless he's done a/c and some major suspension updates. I'd sell the '32 then shop around. You could get one heck of Camaro for $35-$40k. Good luck.

Ive got 3! Two are in pieces. Hockey stripes or nose stripes are fine.
The only thing I have to say about the price is this: What is it worth too you? Just because many on this site will price a car at $25k or $30K take it with a grain of salt. In many parts of the country these cars are few and far between so when you get an opportunity to purchase it may be worth more. What is a new camaro worth that you just paid $45K 5 years down the road? I can tell you a 1st gen camaro that you supposedly paid $5K too much for today will be worth exactly what you paid for it 5 years down the road and hopefully much more. JMTCW again.
