I would appreciate any feedback whether this is an original stamping or not. The owner claims that it is but only has verbal confirmations. Any help from the forum members would be welcome.

I think it's real.
Gotta VIN to go with it? (you can email it if you'd rather not post it)

No- owner says nothing more than 19N......is visible. Pics don't show anything either, but I will keep investigating.

What are your clues to its authenticity?

I am sure you have already checked this but what is the casting number and the casting date?

Anybody else have input? I know there has been some recent developments in veriying the factory broach marks; does anybody know who does that on the west coast?

Kurt posted above and asked if there was a VIN to go with it. He is your best contact as far as getting verification on the stamp.

The op stated earlier Russ that "No- owner says nothing more than 19N......is visible. Pics don't show anything either, but I will keep investigating." But your question brings out what if the vin off the car was given to Kurt? Would that be beneficial to verify at least time frames look correct? Maybe even seeing just what is stamped (the 19N for correctness) might assist.

If you have a good high res picture of the vin stamp I would suggest emailing it to Kurt.

Thanks for the suggestion-I had a rather poor one that I sent to Kurt earlier today. I don't know how much help it will be but maybe with his experience he can make it out.

I thought the 010 blocks were 350.

I thought the 010 blocks were 350.

They were used for the 302 and the 350 both during the 69 production year.

BCM 66;

I emailed you and Kurt the photos of the vin area and other areas. Any other indicators that you can make out?

clm69z28,

Kurt is the expert. If he says it is good, you can take that to the bank.

A few things bother me in general with the front pad. But I do not have anything close to the database or experience with DZ stamps that Kurt does.
