why is it that after i do a search and click on a search result item and then click the back key i get sent to the seach page not not the search results listing?

I tried to duplicate wht you describe but I go back to the list of found links. I know there is a time frame where searches will time out. You should get a message the search timed out though. It almost sounds like your mouse is set to double click not single click...
