I am starting to build a 406 and wanted some opinions about this buildup.
Iron Eagle Dart 215 with 64cc chambers, ohio cast pistons(about 10.0 to 1 )with a victor Jr intake.
Holley 750 DP on top. 1.5 roller rockers.
Solid camshaft.
spec's are Duration .050 int=250 exh=259
lobe sparation-108 valve lift, int=.529 exh=.549
350 turbo trans w 3,000 stall.
rear gears 411.
Am I on the right track?

Have you considered Hyper or forged pistons? The combo sounds strong and should be a lot of fun to drive.

The few ohio cast performance pistons I have dealt with have been very tough for a cast piston, but also very heavy. I would definately consider something else. Other than that, the combo looks great to me.

with the Dart heads and such a high lift you might consider going to 1.6 rocker ratio :cool:
but that sounds like a strong combo and forgeed parts might be worth considering like the others suggested

Scat Crank 4340
Oliver 6" I-Beam rods
Wiseco Pro-Tru dished pistons
About 10:1 Compression
AFR 195 64cc heads
